I am much more comfortable with this narrative of complimenting than the usual confrontational talk adopted in business, for example I have shared Cory Galbraith latest article posted on beBee to my LI feed and there are 2000 + views and counting :-)

There is no reason to fear or hate LinkedIn, it's the biggest candidates database tool in the world, with 11 minutes daily time use per user in average and only 90 or 110 million monthly active users over 430 M+, with recruiting tools for HR professional and raw material targets for lead generator in sales, what a better free tool and per subscription platform for B2B? Now, what does the future of social networks keeps ahead of us, who knows? In the mean time use all the tools at your disposal, and follow closely the evolution of beBee that Javier \ud83d\udc1d beBee 's team will release this Autumn! We all have high expectations! So we will wait patiently. No need to grow bigger at this stage of maturity, it has to be collaborative and business specific like personal branding for example, but we need tools to make deliverables to clients. That is to be money wise. Personal branding cannot remain an expensive hobby, it has to go PRO!

I fully agree. Nowadays you cannot simply ignore your competition, the same way that you need to be presented in both beBee and Linkedin. I'm personally active in 5 social networks but I know that it's difficult to be up to date with that many... This is a thoroughly- balanced view Javier \ud83d\udc1d beBee. You are a balanced person. I am not fond of "separation thinking" meaning this or that. I prefer both and therefore it is both beBee and LI (in the given order). You wrote "but it will help you open up and allow you to create a different kind of connection with someone: a deep, lasting connection". I find this very true and workable. I developed relations with few bees here on beBeewith whom I have never imagined for many reasons such as historical enmity. The exchange f comments and the mutual respect that resulted brought us closer than we ever expected. Thank you beBee for being the Land of Connection.

Totaly agree, Javier! The right answer is LinkedIn AND beBee. beBee is not alternative to Linkedin and vice versa. Although I consider beBee as my home platform, I am still on LinkedIn where I have a large professional network mainly consists of people in the construction industry. On the other hand in one year on beBee, I've created far deeper personal connections with others than in 5 years on LinkedIn. Being on both platform, I can say it's a winning combination. :-)

I've read a few complaints by LinkedIn readers about posts they don't feel are about "business." I suspect some of these are recruiters who want LinkedIn dedicated to the "recruitment grapevine." The tragedy is they're getting their way. LinkedIn has become very staid and, because it seems to serve the "self-serving" businesses, I believe it's losing readership in the process. Anything we write here can be used in business鈥攑robably more so than some of the posts declaring they can increase your visibility through "SEO guerrilla tactics." None of their tactics are original or even true anymore. they're tired old reposts, making LinkedIn a tired site for tired readers. The best advice for any marketer or business in general? Read originality. Read it daily. Read it every minute you can. My mornings start by reading She Silverstein or Hunter S. Thompson. It makes me realize how far I still have to go. That's important. We all have to realize how far we have to go.
