Role Description This full-time remote Artificial Intelligence Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing AI models that power 808Labs’ products and ventures. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and training neural networks, implementing pattern recognition pipelines, and building NLP solutions for real-world applications. The role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and venture teams to translate business needs into scalable AI systems and production-ready software.

Engineer will also evaluate new AI techniques, improve model performance, and contribute to the overall architecture and infrastructure supporting AI-driven features.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-grade coding practices.
• Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, including model training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Practical knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), such as text classification, information extraction, and language modeling.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python).
• Experience deploying models into production environments, working with APIs, cloud platforms, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in startup or venture-backed environments is a plus, as is familiarity with AI applications in commerce or digital infrastructure.
