Role Description The Data Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data architectures, data models, and integration patterns that support advanced analytics and AI initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include defining data standards, overseeing data governance practices, and collaborating with engineering and analytics teams to implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

The Data

Architect will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and ensure data quality, security, and performance across all platforms. The role also involves continuous improvement of data ecosystems and recommending best practices and tools to optimize data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Data Architecture and Data Modeling, with the ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
• Experience implementing Data Governance frameworks, including data standards, policies, and stewardship practices.
• Hands-on skills with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing, including design, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines and repositories.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), data integration tools, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics environments is a plus, particularly in consulting or client-facing roles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, on-site team environment.
