Job Description – DevOps Manager
Position Summary The DevOps Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise DevSecOps platforms across multi-cloud and on-premise environments (including sovereign cloud, VMware, OpenShift, Azure, and Oracle). This role ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, configuration management, observability, and governance practices. The DevOps Manager will lead a team of engineers and drive standardized DevOps practices across multiple entities, enabling efficient software delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the DevOps engineering team, including mentoring, performance management, and capability development.
- Define and implement DevOps strategy, roadmap, and governance across the organization.
- Oversee CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and optimization for multiple applications and platforms.
- Ensure automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Manage multi-cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, including security integration into pipelines and compliance enforcement.
- Establish observability frameworks (monitoring, logging, tracing) for proactive system management.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to align DevOps practices.
- Ensure adherence to governance, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in DevOps tools and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles.
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial position.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Oracle) and on-prem environments.
- Hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security integration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
