Document & Technology Controller (Seasonal)
Documentation quality, compliance, and platform control for JAM Safety.

Role Summary The Document & Technology Controller is responsible for two equally weighted pillars: documentation quality and compliance across JAM Safety's deliverables, and control of the bespoke JAM Safety operations platform as the department's technology controller.
On documentation, the role takes briefs from clients, identifies the right resources to produce documents, supports and creates documentation, and reviews it for compliance and client-readiness. On technology, the role manages the operations platform from operations, client, subcontractor, and staff perspectives, ensuring the system functions correctly and that documentation is processed accurately.
The role requires a complete working understanding of UAE, KSA, and Qatar laws and compliance as they relate to event safety, alongside practical event experience, so that all documentation stands up to scrutiny in each jurisdiction.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Quality and Compliance
- Take documentation briefs from clients and translate them into clear scopes of work.
- Identify and assign full-time and freelance resource to produce the required documents.
- Support and create documentation, including event safety management plans, crowd management plans, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and construction phase plans.
- Review documentation for accuracy, consistency, compliance, and client-readiness before it is issued.
- Ensure documentation aligns with the relevant laws, standards, and regulatory context of the delivery jurisdiction across the UAE, KSA, and Qatar.
- Maintain version control, templates, and document standards across the department.
- Maintain a documentation register and audit trail across all projects.
Technology and Platform Control
- Act as the JAM Safety technology controller for the bespoke operations platform.
- Manage the platform from operations, client, subcontractor, and staff perspectives.
- Ensure the system functions correctly and that documentation is processed accurately through it.
- Configure and maintain workflows, user access, and data integrity within the platform.
- Provide first-line support and training to internal and external platform users.
- Identify and escalate technical issues, liaising with the platform provider on fixes and enhancements.
- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures for platform use.
Person Specification
Essential
- A complete working understanding of UAE, KSA, and Qatar laws and compliance as they relate to event safety.
- Event experience, with familiarity with event safety document types (ESMP, CMP, risk assessments, RAMS, construction phase plans).
- Strong document control background with high attention to detail.
- Systems and platform administration aptitude, with the ability to act as a technology controller.
- Clear written English and a methodical, compliance-focused approach.
- Eligible to work in the UAE.
- Available for a seasonal contract across the peak operating season, with the option to extend to the end of April 2027.
Desirable
- HSE qualification (for example, NEBOSH).
- Experience with the company software stack (Hotdocs, Monday.com, Xero, SharePoint, Halo).
- Experience administering or configuring a bespoke operations or workflow platform.
