Strategic Finance & Reporting Section Head
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Finance Reporting Unit Head to lead the delivery of financial management reporting and ad-hoc analysis that supports executive decision-making and business objectives.
The role ensures compliance with international financial reporting standards and internal financial strategies while driving reporting efficiency, automation, and data-driven insights.
Finance Reporting & Analysis
Lead and manage the finance reporting function to ensure accurate and timely reporting outputs.
Oversee preparation of periodic management reports covering budget utilization, performance tracking, and variance analysis.
Review variance investigations and ensure corrective actions and control measures are implemented.
Transform complex financial data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Perform advanced financial and big data analysis to enhance forecasting and planning accuracy.
Interpret complex financial results and present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data and deliver meaningful reporting.
Drive reporting automation and continuous improvement aligned with industry best practices.
Lead development and enhancement of financial models and reporting tools.
Deliver ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and projects.
Monitor regulatory and accounting standard changes and ensure reporting compliance.
Leadership & Governance
Translate functional strategy into unit-level business plans and objectives.
Lead, coach, and develop team members to maximize performance and engagement.
Promote organizational values, ethics, and high-performance culture.
Ensure implementation of policies, procedures, and internal controls across unit activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost optimization.
Ensure timely and high-quality preparation of all required reports.
Support environmental, health, and safety compliance and sustainability initiatives.
Cross-functional departments and business units
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred).
Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are advantageous.
4–6 years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, or advanced reporting tools.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
Technical & Professional Skills
Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal).
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong financial modelling and quantitative analysis capabilities.
Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information.
Experience with financial and reporting software systems.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
Strong presentation and storytelling capability with financial data.
Good knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in the UAE.
Self-driven with strong time management and delivery focus.
