IT Engineer

Job Summary:

Cinemacity is seeking a skilled and hands-on IT Engineer to support the technology infrastructure and day-to-day IT operations across our cinema locations in the UAE.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and backup/disaster recovery, ideally within a multi-site environment such as cinema, entertainment, hospitality, retail, or F&B.

Role Responsibilities:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Mandatory experience with VISTA, as it is our primary cinema management and ERP system.
• Good knowledge of POS systems, servers, workstations, printers, and related hardware.
• Solid networking knowledge, including the ability to understand site infrastructure and troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Experience with monitoring and maintaining backups. Our backup strategy will also be further restructured in the coming months, with the required guidance and training provided.
• Basic firewall and security knowledge. Advanced firewall activities can continue to be coordinated with our vendors, particularly during the planned firewall upgrade project.
• Ability to provide support outside regular working hours when urgent operational issues arise.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and learn new systems quickly.
• Willingness to understand and support our existing and future ERP applications, integrations, and business systems.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience, with 3 in Specialist roles.
• Experience managing multi-site IT operations, preferably within the entertainment, hospitality, retail, or cinema industry.
• Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and business-critical applications.
• Experience managing systems such as Vista and Quadranet.
• Experience managing external vendors and technology projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, Azure, VMware, or cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
• Project Management certification (PMP or Prince2) is desirable.
