Python Engineer

We are partnering with a top crypto HFT trading firm looking for a Python Engineer to help build and maintain the backend services that support live trading across global exchanges. The focus is on exchange connectivity, internal automation, real-time data flows, and production infrastructure - high-throughput systems where reliability and performance are critical.

• *What You’ll Be Working On**
• Designing and building resilient Python microservices that support live crypto trading
• Expanding and maintaining exchange integrations across global markets
• Developing internal tools (e.g., automation, funding logic, analytics pipelines)
• Handling high-throughput trading data across distributed systems
• Writing clean, asynchronous, highly performant code
• Debugging and resolving real production incidents using logs, metrics, and tracing tools
• Deploying and monitoring services in containerised environments
• Collaborating closely with low-level (C++) engineers, traders, and data specialists

Expect real ownership, fast feedback loops, and systems that must work - every time.

• *What They’re Looking For
• 4+ years of backend Python development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with async programming (asyncio, concurrency, parallelism)
• Experience with modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
• Solid SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong debugging mindset and production incident handling experience
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, performance-conscious code
• *Nice to Have
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, or event-driven systems
• Exposure to Kubernetes and Helm
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or other high-performance data stores
• Understanding of trading systems, market structure, or HFT workflows
• Experience working alongside C++ trading infrastructure
