QA/QC Engineer (Construction)

Role Description The QA/QC Engineer (Construction) is a Part-time, Hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi.

The role involves developing and implementing project-specific quality plans and procedures, conducting inspections of construction, installation, and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

The QA/QC Engineer will review and approve materials, coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues.

Tasks include monitoring work progress for quality performance, preparing quality reports and documentation, participating in internal and external audits, and supporting continuous improvement of quality management practices on site.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Inspection skills to monitor construction activities, verify workmanship, and ensure materials meet project standards.
• Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance and Quality Management skills to develop quality plans, procedures, and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should possess experience in Quality Auditing to conduct internal and external audits, identify non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of construction industry standards and codes, particularly for electrical, mechanical, and safety systems in building projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with relevant QA/QC certifications considered an advantage.
• Eye for details, and follow up on every stage of the works and closeout of snags and rejected works.
• Experience in construction projects within the UAE or GCC region, preferably in building services and technical installations.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site within multidisciplinary project teams.
