Senior Network Enginee

Role Description The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure to support secure and reliable connectivity for remote operations. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and monitoring network devices, resolving complex network issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring adherence to security best practices. The role also involves collaborating with IT and operations teams to support business applications, documenting network architecture, and contributing to continuous improvement of network standards and procedures.

This is a part-time remote role, requiring consistent availability during agreed-upon hours and the ability to manage priorities independently in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, including planning, implementing, and optimizing complex network architectures.
• Proficiency in Network Administration and Troubleshooting to manage network devices, monitor performance, and quickly resolve incidents.
• Solid understanding of Network Security principles and practices to safeguard data, systems, and remote access connections.
• Experience with enterprise networking technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, WLAN) and common protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity, with strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant industry certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
