Site Civil Engineer - Substation - TASC Outsourcing

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities including excavation, backfilling, concrete works, waterproofing, finishing works, drainage, roadworks, underground utilities, cable trenches, and building construction.
Monitor site progress to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Inspect construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure quality compliance.
Maintain site documentation including RFIs, material inspections, concrete records, and quality reports.
Conduct site inspections before client and consultant inspections.

Technical & Project Support

Review shop drawings, BOQs, and construction documents.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and field change requests.
Monitor subcontractor performance and certify work progress.
Coordinate with MEP, HSE, and other engineering disciplines for smooth project execution.
Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and local regulations.

Reporting & Coordination

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment utilization.
Support construction management with progress tracking and technical updates.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience

Strong experience in substation, power, utility, or infrastructure projects.
Experience working on live substations and Permit-to-Work (PTW) environments is highly preferred.
