- In-charged in preparing Scope of Works to get a brief view of the project and allocate the time required to complete the BOQ pricing.
- Checking all tender documents to make sure that everything is provided by the Client.
- Raising queries and clarifications to the Client/Main Contractor if necessary.
- Arranging a site visit when necessary to get the clearer view of the project and the scope of works.
- Allocating the works to the Quantity Surveyors responsible for material take-offs and sending quotation requests.
- In-charged in preparing the necessary documents for sending quotation requests for Electrical and ELV systems.
- Involvement in the material take-offs to make sure that everything is taken and considered.
- Following-up suppliers and pushing them to quote within the allocated submission date.
- Speaking to suppliers regarding their quotations both commercially and technically.
- Regular reporting to the Tendering Manager for whatever issues regarding the project.
- Pricing the BOQ and making sure that everything has been measured and considered.
- Preparing the Criteria where all inclusions and exclusions are listed.
- Preparing qualifications for value engineering if necessary.
- Sitting down with the Tender Manager for discussing the priced BOQ.
Electrical Estimation Engineer (September 2014 – April 2015)

- In-charged in preparing the quotation requests for the complete Electrical and ELV systems.
- Supervision of allocating the works to the Engineers responsible for MTO’s and sending enquiries.
- Involvement in the material take-offs to make sure that everything is taken and considered.
- Involvement in preparing/sending enquiries to the suppliers/subcontractors to make sure that all related documents are provided to them.
- Raise queries and clarifications to the Clients/Main Contractors if necessary.
- Speaking to suppliers regarding their quotations commercially and technically.
- Arranging a site visit when necessary to get the clearer view of the project and the scope of works.
- Regular reporting to the immediate superior for whatever issues regarding the project.
- Prepare some qualifications for value engineering.
- Pricing the BOQ and making sure that everything has been measured and considered.
- Preparing the Tender Price Summary to be discussed to the Manager.
Electrical Engineer/Estimator (June 2008 – August 2014)

- Study technical drawings and specifications prior to material take off to ensure that it conform to standards and client’s requirements.
- Prepare qualifications and exclusions for value engineering.
- Responsible in chasing suppliers to get the offers/proposals compliant to the specifications given.
- Prepare a list of queries (RFI’s) for every tender when necessary.
- Perform Material Take Off and prepare Bill of Quantity to be compared to client’s Bill of Quantity issued.
- Involvement in tendering projects like hospitals, airports, malls, etc.
- Attend projects and tender start-up meetings.
- Raising tender post clarifications, updating addendum and inquiries.
- Inputting value engineering, alternative proposals, alternative materials and components deemed necessary to deliver cost effective design solution to satisfy the cost plant and project requirements.
- Provide electrical estimating support by preparing estimates, doing quantity take-offs and raising quotations.

Works Allocated
- Involved in the remeasures for the complete Electrical systems
- Raise a quotation from the suppliers/subcontractors to get the most reasonable price and yet compliant to the specifications
- Involve in the workshop done between BK Gulf and the Cost Consultant to come up with the agreed MTO quantity.
- Prepare a rate build up for the new items
- Sitewalk to check the mark up drawings received from the Supervisors/Construction Managers
- Monitor panels and other equipment delivered and installed at site by preparing a schedule
- Prepare markup drawings whenever not issued needed for the monthly billing
- Involved in some QS works such as preparing variations,etc.
