Carolina Gerding is a trilingual Senior Legal Counsel with over 20 years of experience advising technology, telecommunications, and digital transformation companies across the UAE, MENA, Europe, and emerging markets. Carolina’s expertise spans commercial technology contracts—including SaaS, licensing, reseller, and partner agreements—product counsel for digital platforms, and regulatory compliance with UAE PDPL, DIFC, ADGM, and sector-specific regulations.
Currently a Partner at KLME Law in Dubai, Carolina delivers Fractional General Counsel services to technology ventures and impact-driven startups, leading commercial contracting for SaaS, robotics, and clean-tech companies. Carolina is adept at negotiating complex agreements, supporting fundraising and investor readiness, and managing legal workstreams for strategic partnerships and multi-million-dollar transactions. She provides guidance on intellectual property protection, licensing frameworks, and KYC/AML compliance, and actively engages with the MENA Impact Hub, delivering legal masterclasses and mentoring for sustainability and social impact ventures.
Previously, Carolina served as an Attorney at Alsharif Law in Riyadh, advising on corporate structuring, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance in the Saudi Arabian market, and managing IP registration and labor law compliance. Her earlier roles include Regulatory Affairs & Carrier Relations Manager at Prosodie–Capgemini in Paris, where she managed carrier relations, negotiated interconnection agreements, and ensured regulatory compliance for telecom operations, and Associate Counsel at Hyde & Associates, negotiating satellite services agreements and managing multi-jurisdictional projects.
Carolina holds a Masters in Multimedia and IT Law from Université Panthéon-Assas, is accredited as a Civil and Commercial Mediator, and is admitted to the bars of Buenos Aires and Paris. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and is actively involved in legal networks and advisory boards in the UAE.
