I am currently serving as the Vice Principal at International Indian School Abu Dhabi. I assist the Principal in developing a school environment that is supportive of learning and high achievement among the students. This position has given me an appropriate position to share and use my experience to the benefit of the whole school and to take it forward to the next level. I have developed and implemented systems for recording individual pupils’ progress and ensuring that parents are informed regularly of the progress of their children at the school. As an innovative and resourceful teacher of English, having taught grades 7-12, I am proud to say that I have made a meaningful difference in the lives of my students not only as a teacher but also as a role model. I have fostered meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents through my interpersonal and communication skills. I joined GEMS, Our Own High School, Dubai in the year 2007 through overseas recruitment. I had been a part of every aspect of the school’s evolution into one of the reputed schools in UAE with a pupil strength of over 4500 boys. I have played vital roles as a Core-Committee member in DSIB inspections since 2009. I had also taken up management-level responsibilities as TIMSS Exam Administrator, Assessment and curriculum Coordinator, CPD Coordinator, Special Needs Teacher Mentor, Subject coordinator, Event Coordinator, Peace Ambassador, and also Exam Superintendent & Paper evaluator for CBSE Board exams. I conducted the ‘World’s Largest Lesson of the Global Goals 2030 for students and staff. I was promoted internally to GEMS Heritage as Teaching and Learning Coach where I was responsible for the teaching-learning, assessment & curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 9. I have led the school in the Teaching, Assessment & Learning Skills, and Curriculum Adaptation Standard/Indicator apart from being responsible for the School Self Evaluation. In the 2018 DSIB inspections, our school has moved up to “GOOD” in Teaching Learning, Assessments, and Curriculum across the school The report stated, “The clear vision and drive of senior leaders which would ensure future development.” I was also in charge of all CBSE registration processes and also of the Affiliation process with CBSE.
