Gerhard Botha

Currently, I am a full time PE and Health teacher at Al Reef Charter school in Al Ain. My initial degree is Sports Science – Strength and Conditioning Coaching. I have spent the last 10 years coaching: rugby, cricket, football, athletics, swimming and hockey.

I have a confident and hard-working disposition. I am very reliable and I take all responsibilities entrusted to me very seriously. I am passionate about, health, fitness and leading an active lifestyle. I fully support the positive implications for children, young people and adults alike to lead such a proactive, healthy, active life and understand the long term health benefits and well-being associated with this.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my career thus far and as a result of my experiences both professionally and personally, I have gained a vast amount of valuable knowledge and leadership skills which I feel will be an asset. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with people and believe I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I work well given individual tasks, working as a team and can take the lead when necessary, all valuable skills that I implement in my own class practice.
