Wiley’s entire applications and other systems. As a Senior Engineer at
Operations Center, I oversee the overall operations, administration &
monitoring of Wiley's CORE Production System - IBM I (AS/400) &
Dev/QA systems which includes,
Production monitoring and 24x7x365 support across global regions - USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Singapore
EOD Processing, Job Submissions & Backup and Restore
Regular health checks, overall AS400 monitoring
IPL procedures, User Management, Error analysis/reporting.
Back- end bulk data processing, order processing, invoice processing
Report generation (ROBOT Reports).
Monitoring production jobs / job queues/ message queues
Plan and execute end-of-day activities, weekly, monthly &
quarterly activities
Plan and execute Fiscal Year End activities
Provide support for development team activities such as production deployments
Monitoring non-production backups, which are critical for development activities
Providing special support on production data transfer activities
Errors escalation and follow-up on production systems and Dev /
Major incident support related to any incident involving AS/400
systems
Provide support for requests such as fraud report generation
Perform special operational ad-hoc activities based on requirements from Business stakeholders
Provide support for user requests such as job submissions, report generation, user profile elevations, and provision of access

Plan & execute day end, month end and year end processes at entire Seylan Bank
Data communication monitoring on Leased lines, Satellite links and dial-up links
Monitor and troubleshoot all ATMs, ITM Modules, NODs and all CDM machines
Generate monthly bank statements to the entire Seylan
24x7x365 support to over 180 branches island wide

Handling of all branch cash operations such as deposits,

Handling of foreign currency, NRFC accounts, and RFC accounts and buying and selling of foreign currency.
Handling of damaged notes and forged notes and procedures and guide lines of Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Clearance of daily outward cheques (posting of cheques,
cheque image scanning) and handling cheque returns and customers statements.

Input and Issue of debit cards and working with the card management system.
Knowledge on statutory regulations such as Anti Money
Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC).
All ATM operations of the branch such as cash loading, TIA balancing, ATM balancing.
Issuance and encashment of Foreign drafts, FCY, TC and
Traveler’s cards.
Carrying out different types of inward and outward local remittances such as SLIPS, CEFT, and Salary Diskettes.
Issuance of pay orders, placing of standing orders, inventory check and stock balancing.
