Plans, prepares and performs the common radiologic procedures well including the selection of settings, the proper positioning of the patient, the development of the film and the quality of the image.

• Prepares the patients physically and mentally for examinations.
• While performing their role the RT is responsible for the radiation protection, patient care and quality assurance of the radiological process
• Assists a senior radiologic technologist in performing special radiologic procedures
• Consults the radiologist when further views are necessary for a patient and performs procedure if indicated.
