• Prepare the Work Package Plan WPP and identify and communicate any suggestions for improvements to the Project Manager. Such ideas could be related to improved erection productivity, more efficient sequencing of work, pre-assembly opportunities, better utilization of plant / equipment, reduced labour requirements, safer working conditions, achievement of higher quality, more effective shift patterns etc.
• Facilitate timely mobilization of subcontractors to site, in accordance with the agreed delivery programme.
• Ensure that all site labour and subcontractors' operatives have attended both the WHL and Main Contractor site inductions and are fully familiar with the Erection Methodology, Logistics Plan and particular site constraints.
• Coordinate all site activities including deliveries, storage, logistics, welfare, trade interfaces, crane scheduling, equipment movements, labour issues, installation works, rectification of defects and timely handover.
• Direct, supervise, support and mentor subcontractors to complete the construction works within the allocated time, to the specified quality requirements and on (or under) budget.
• Produce and verify that suitable RAMS and lifting plans are in place and that engaged operatives and third-party crane drivers are inducted and briefed accordingly.
• Inspect fabricated steelwork and other materials arriving on site to confirm compliance with Contract obligations and company standards, placing into quarantine any not conforming item and issuing a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) to the offending party

Erection/Site Manager - Victor Buyck Steel Construction

• Providing welfare facilities and site set-up for staff and workers.

Erection Supervisor - Cleveland Bridge

Supervise/coordinate activities of work crews engaged in erecting structural steel and bridge beams. Assist workers in performance of tasks, setting out crane position, bolting and torqueing TCB bolt connection with inspection. Document all progress and prepare for lifting operations.

Site Supervisor/Manager - Smulders Projects UK - Newcastle

For the Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm project in Newcastle, I was responsible for fabrication and erection of 11 tripod jackets up to 65 meters and 1600 tons. With a multi-lingual team of around 35 personnel from different trades, we built to high specifications with no incidents or accidents as our target, which we achieved.

• Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the Quality Inspection & Test Plan (QITP), observing all hold points, relevant technical specifications, associated codes of practice and warranty requirements.
• Protect the health, safety and wellbeing of all site personnel, ensure that all operatives have adequate training to undertake their role and assigned tasks and that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and worn by the entire workforce and take immediate action to address any breach

Site Supervisor - Clearstream Energy Services, Canada - Fort McKay Oil Sands

I managed a 12-strong crew of erectors, labourers and welders on the expansion of a pipeline for the sulphur block at Fort McKay Oil Sands operated by Canadian Natural Resources Ltd (CNRL).

Site Supervisor - Ledcor Fabrication Inc., Canada - British Columbia

Overseeing fabrication of modular structures, as per drawings, for a new Sweet Gas Plant in British Columbia. I managed a team of erectors and welders and was responsible for mentoring and coaching apprentices and journeymen. I also prepared and submitted progress reports and dimensional checklists for the site manager.

Site Supervisor - Whitemud Ironworks Ltd, Canada

(2014-01 - 2016-03)

I managed mixed-discipline teams of various sizes working on a range of projects including the construction of a new polytechnic building that required pedestrian walkways to other campus buildings (critical lift due to the length of the walkways), layout and installation of elevator shafts, window supports, two atriums and 14 staircases. Other projects including the construction of a large-scale retail complex, and the cone-shaped University of Alberta sports complex.
