As a mechanical engineer , I was responsible for purchase of engineering and general goods. taking quotes from relevant suppliers, preparing cost comparisons, finalizing payment terms along with freight . charges and issuing Purchase order. Finalizing rate contracts to minimize inventory by adopting Vendor on inventory method. following min, max to ensure optimum stock levels. developing alternate suppliers to minimize cost of purchase.
