A senior international tax professional with over 26 years of experience, including approximately 10 years based in Dubai. I have built a distinguished career across the Middle East and Africa region, leading tax transformation, governance, and risk management for global and regional multinationals. My expertise spans direct and indirect tax, transfer pricing, VAT, and cross-border structuring across industries such as retail, finance, real estate, aerospace, media, and digital services.
Currently serving as International Tax Director for Amazon MENA, i have led the remediation of legacy exposures exceeding $30M, established regional tax strategy, and influenced policy through engagement with the OECD and regional authorities. Prior to Amazon, I headed tax at ASGC and Al Tayer Group, where she led GCC-wide VAT implementations, managed audits with significant financial savings, and established governance frameworks.
Earlier roles include senior tax leadership at BBC, Christie’s, B/E Aerospace, and Sony, where she delivered complex VAT transformations, managed global compliance, and successfully navigated landmark litigation and audits. Known for her ability to build and lead high-performing teams, Puja brings a strategic, solution-oriented approach with a proven track record in tax efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory alignment.
