Assist anesthesiologists in preparing and setting up anesthesia machines, airway equipment, monitors, and medications for all surgical procedures.
Ensure all anesthesia equipment is checked, calibrated, and functioning safely at the start of each case.
Maintain stock levels of drugs, consumables, and emergency airway supplies, ensuring timely availability during routine and critical situations.
Support anesthesia providers during induction, maintenance, and recovery phases, including airway management assistance.
Follow infection-control protocols, including cleaning, disinfection, and proper handling of TEE probes and other sensitive devices.
Document equipment usage, report faults promptly, and help streamline OR workflow to enhance patient safety and efficiency.
Lead and supervise the daily activities of the anesthesia technical team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely support for all surgical procedures.
Manage anesthesia equipment preparation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to maintain continuous readiness and compliance with standards.
Coordinate supply management, stock levels, and timely availability of anesthesia drugs, consumables, and airway equipment throughout the OR.
Support anesthesiologists during complex cases, including airway management, regional anesthesia setup, and emergency responses.
Train and mentor new staff on equipment handling, infection control, TEE probe care, and safety protocols in line with JCI standards.
Collaborate with OR leadership to improve workflow, reduce equipment downtime, and enhance patient safety practices across the department.
