As Senior Legal Counsel, I was responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters across several key divisions within the Bank and its subsidiaries, including Procurement (handling contracts worth over 5 billion annually) within 100% turnaround time, IT, Administration, Retail Banking, Priority Banking, and Wealth Management. I provided strategic legal counsel, ensured regulatory compliance, and led contract negotiations to support the bank’s operations and risk management. In addition, I was responsible for two key subsidiaries – the Bank’s Merchant Acquiring subsidiary and ADIB Securities – advising on commercial transactions, regulatory requirements, and operational legal issues.
