Full Stack Javascript Engineer, HFC

Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer (Next.js / React / AWS) - Backend Focus

Open to Full or Part-time

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance, customer-facing web applications. The ideal candidate brings strong architectural thinking, hands-on technical depth, and the ability to mentor a team while upholding best practices across the stack.

You will own the end-to-end delivery of scalable, SEO-optimized, and visually rich experiences built on modern web technologies such as Next.js, React, and TypeScript, while leveraging AWS, Cloudflare, and GraphQL for performance, resilience, and extensibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, following modern design and development standards.

• Lead technical decision-making and enforce best practices in code structure, performance, testing, and documentation.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Build and maintain reusable, performant, and accessible UI components using Chakra UI, Tailwind, or similar frameworks.

• Integrate with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful or equivalent) and Stripe for dynamic content and secure payment processing.

• Implement robust data integrations using GraphQL and RESTful APIs.

• Experience with PostgREST

• Leverage Cloudflare for edge rendering, CDN caching, and performance optimization.

• Enhance search capabilities through AWS OpenSearch and implement advanced SEO strategies and Core Web Vitals optimizations.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Core Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development.

• Expert proficiency with React.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and modern build pipelines.

• Strong understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR).

• Deep experience with state management libraries such as Jotai, Zustand, or Recoil.

• Proven ability to architect and optimize large-scale web applications for SEO, performance, and accessibility.

• Experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, OpenSearch, S3) and Cloudflare Workers or equivalent CDN-edge technologies.
