Lead Python Developer

Currently, we are looking for a remote Lead Python Developer to join our global team.

The customer is the leading and most-trusted provider of comprehensive, integrated tax technology solutions, providing its services for sales, value added, consumer use, communication service, lease, lodging, and payroll taxes.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to monitor web sites where tax related content is posted and alert tax researchers if a change is identified
• Develop a catalog of web sites to be monitored
• Work with solution architect to explore options to crawl websites and download a dump of entire web site rather than scrape content from particular pages

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Python Development
• 1+ year of leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Ability to solve tasks end-to-end (you'll have to cooperate with EPAM's BPO team and Vertex task researchers and be able to interpret their requirements on your own)
• Ability to produce supporting documentation of good quality
• Experience scrapping text from web pages and/or writing web crawlers

Nice to have

• Experience with any RDBMS, but Postgres
• Experience with PDF format or extraction of text from PDF
• Docker and Kubernetes
