Sr. Backend Java Developer

Description

We are looking for a Backend Java Developer to join our talented engineering team at Nybble Group. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend systems that power our digital solutions. You’ll work closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to build robust APIs, ensure seamless integrations, and deliver clean, maintainable code.

Success in this role means contributing to reliable, efficient, and secure software that supports business growth and enhances user experiences.

Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

● Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns.

● Implement and optimize database queries and integrations with SQL or NoSQL databases.

● Ensure application performance, scalability, and security across all services.

● Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration processes.

● Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across environments.

Requirements

● 5+ years of experience as a Backend or Java Developer.

● Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+), Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.

● Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).

● Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

● Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.

● Understanding of security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

● Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

● Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

● Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.

● Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
