Technical Writer – Operational technology (ITFP 745)Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Technical Writer who is proficient in markdown to join our team. The Technical Writer will play a critical role in creating clear and concise documentation for our solutions, with skills in markdown to transform data into useful technical content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation Creation: Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including playbooks, guides, tutorials, and FAQs for our solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, Product Owners and subject matter experts, to gather information and ensure accuracy in technical documentation.
• Audience Analysis: Understand the needs of various user groups and tailor documentation to meet their specific requirements.
• Content Management: Maintain a structured and organized content repository, ensuring that documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible to internal and external stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Technical Writer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating technical documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft ADO as a data source is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on simplifying complex technical concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry, Process Control Networks or Cybersecurity is a plus.
