Basis is seeking an experienced

• *WordPress Developer**

with

• *advanced-level expertise**

to lead the development, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of WordPress websites across Basis (basisworldwide.com) and its sister companies.

As part of the Marketing team, this role will be instrumental in ensuring our web properties are high-performing, secure, scalable, and optimized for lead and demand generation initiatives.

• *Key Responsibilities
• *Website Development & Maintenance
• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites for Basis and affiliated brands.
• Build custom themes and plugins as needed.
• Ensure sites are responsive, accessible, secure, and optimized for performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues proactively.
• Manage WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates.
• Maintain staging and production environments and follow best deployment practices.
• Set up and consolidate hosting services
• *Landing Page Development for Demand Generation
• Create high-converting WordPress landing pages to support marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with product marketing and design teams to translate campaign objectives into optimized web experiences.
• Implement tracking, forms, integrations, and conversion elements (CTAs, gated content, etc.).
• Optimize landing pages for SEO, page speed, and conversion rate (CRO).
• Support A/B testing and performance improvements.
• *Technical Optimization & Integration
• Ensure website performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, caching, CDN usage).
• Implement SEO best practices at the technical level.
• Integrate WordPress with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and third-party APIs.
• Maintain proper tracking implementation (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
• *Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of WordPress architecture, including theme and plugin development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg blocks) and custom block development.
• Strong understanding of website performance optimization techniques.
• Experience implementing technical SEO best practices.
• Experience creating landing pages optimized for conversion and lead generation.
• Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation integrations (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive, etc.).
• Experience working in staging/production environments and version control (Git).
• *Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with multi-brand or multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of headless WordPress implementations.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with A/B testing tools and CRO methodologies.
• Understanding of UX/UI best practices for conversion-driven websites.
