Sobre mí
Audio Engineer and software developer with 3+ years of experience in plugin development using C++ and the JUCE framework. Experienced across every stage of a commercial plugin, from DSP and audio engine through to production ready user interfaces, and in delivering tested, signed releases for macOS and Windows. A full engineering degree in audio covering acoustics, electroacoustics and DSP theory, together with 15 years playing, recording and mixing music, keeps development decisions grounded in how the plugin will actually be used.
Comfortable working in English with international, remote teams and clients.
Experiencia
Audio Software Developer at Atlantic Audio Development (2025-12 – 2026-08)
- Built and extended multi panel user interfaces for commercial plugins with an established user base: frequency response displays, level metering, preset browsers, color mode switching schemes, and custom components such as knobs, buttons, sliders and popups, built from supplied vector assets or from scratch as each project required
- Extended existing DSP engines with additional processing features such as side chain input and loudness matched comparison, revised parameter behavior, resolved real time defects in inherited code without altering released behavior, and took one plugin through a major version upgrade including new processing features such as delay and distortion
- Built plugins from scratch for a private client, covering DSP engine, parameter design and interface: a 7 band EQ with switchable minimum and linear phase processing, multiple filter types including tilt, per band solo and mute, and variable slopes; a compressor with lookahead, auto release and a built in saturation stage; and a 3 band multiband compressor with upward and downward compression
- Optimized real time and editor performance, lowering CPU cost and improving responsiveness, by relocating analysis off the message thread, using lock free FIFO buffers for audio to UI communication, replacing polled updates with processor driven notifications, suspending processing when unneeded, and synchronizing linked plugin instances
- Implemented multiple processing modes trading real time latency against spectral quality, powered by a multi band STFT engine using different window lengths per band for higher frequency resolution
- Configured cross platform builds with CMake and build presets for VST3, AU, AAX and Standalone formats, including AUv3 packaging for a MIDI effect plugin; validated releases with pluginval and auval and delivered signed, notarized builds for macOS and Windows; collaborated remotely through GitHub with ticket driven development, code review and regular video calls
Session Guitarist / Guitar Instructor at Freelance (Fiverr) (2017 – 2025)
- Recorded guitar parts for client songs as a session musician, delivering mixed, raw and DI stems
- Delivered video lessons and session recordings to over 150 international clients, with a 5 star average rating
- Managed client communication and delivery end to end in English, under strict deadlines
