Hi, my name is Josser Leal, I´m 36 years old, I´m a petroleum engineer. I´m looking for new challenges in the oil field industry in Argentina as a Drilling Fluids Engineer. I got experience working not online in the field but at lab facilities. I also worked as an English teacher for an important CEFR certified institution in Venezuela named FYRLOIS. I'm married, no children. I'm living in the province of Neuquén.
Petroleum engineer, graduated in 2008 from La Universidad del Zulia, Venezuela. I worked for the American oil field servicies company Halliburton, specifically for Servicios Halliburton de Venezuela for 8 years as a drilling fluids engineer for its products service line BAROID DFS. My last title was Field Professional I (title prior to the Highest BAROID DFS field title: Field Professional II).
As an engineer of BAROID DFS, I worked in onshore deep and shallow wells in the east district of Venezuela.
I also worked for about 2 years as a technical and administrative supporter in the drilling and completion fluids research and development laboratory of BAROID DFS located in Maturin city, Venezuela, performing different activities: validation of properties of the proposed formulations of the different drilling fluids considered in the formal proposal for the customer; checking properties of drilling fluid samples received from wells and determining treatments if required; perform special tests as linear swell meter test (LSM) , Permeability Plugging Apparatus test (PPA), Particle Size Distribution Test (PSD), Low shear rate viscosity (Brookfield viscometer test), Lubricity, Capillarity suction time, shale erosion, shale accretion and breakthrough test. I used the database system iFacts, to manage all requirements of fluid formulations and validations from the Drilling Fluid Supervisors (Technical Professionals, TPs) and Lab. Manager, as well as laboratory equipment inventory, upload of validation reports, among other activities.
I also kept track of the verification of calibration of the different laboratory equipment, performing the adjustments required when malfunctioning, and I also prepared water base and oil base mud kits for rig sites.
Finally, I got the opportunity to work in Villahermosa, Mexico, as a Field Professional I, for 8 months, in deep wells (17000 ft), S trajectory, running WBM BAIL KCL (1.12 – 1.20 g/l), and Invert emulsion fluid system INVERMUL (1.44 – 2.0 g/l), performing all duties required (Formulation, monitoring and treatment of drilling fluids, daily reports, inventory of chemical products, lab. equipments and reagents, logistics of drilling fluid displacements, and logistics of remedial actions to face and mitigate operational problems, for example: increase or decrease density for kicks or losses, pump bridging pills to reduce seapage to partial losses, and wellbore breathing.
I graduated as a petroleum engineer from La Universidad del Zulia, Maracaibo, state Zulia, Venezuela in 2008
I did an English course, getting the final certificate, B2 level in English proficiency. 2007-2009
I traveled to Houston, Texas, to do a special drilling fluids course, Mud School, at Halliburton University facilities (2013)
