As AI-Robotics Engineer at #RISKSEN you will work closely with the founding team to develop and implement the software prototype for our risk perception and inference technologies. You will contribute by integrating advanced perception, data fusion and inference and using simulation environments to complement dataset generation for training our AI toolsets for safe performance of human-interacting robots.

Your mission and challenges

  • Implement and deploy sensor fusion and data pipelines for robot monitoring and environment perception.
  • Design, maintain and deploy simulation environments using tools like Isaac Sim or similar frameworks.
  • Integrate simulation- and data-pipelines with AI training workflows.
  • Generate and manage synthetic datasets for training and validating AI models.
  • Implement workflows for sim-to-real transfer.

Your background and expertise

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in AI-driven simulation and learning with application in robotics and automation or related roles.
  • Strong programming skills, specifically in Python and C , and proficiency in state-of-the-art software engineering workflows and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation environments for synthetic data generation (e.g. in Isaac Sim).
  • Familiarity in AI / ML model development, and systems deployment on robotic platforms (e.g. ROS / ROS2) and/or AI-enabled edge computing systems.
  • Knowledge of reinforcement learning frameworks and data workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Robot Safety and Human-Robot Collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deep-tech startup.
  • You have a perfect command of the English language and, best of all, you speak German well.
