My name is Arina and I’m from Ukraine and I’m writing you to express my interest in applying for the position as a barista at Aesop.
I really do like the concept of your establishments and I would be very happy to join your team and work with you together.
I have been working toward the goal of having a career in the hospitality industry and despite my age held several positions. My professional way has started in my hometown where I have been working as a waitress and later on as a barista in the small charming cafe named “Honey its me”. Later on I was living, studying abroad and working part time as a barista in “Etno Cafe” which is situated in Wroclaw, Poland.
After I graduated my studies I moved to Kiev where I was working in “Vognyk Bar” and “Arsenal XXII (a very famous club in Kiev)” until the war has started.
I have a good experience in working as a barista, bartender and waitress.
I also took barista and restaurant service courses for several months, which helped me to improve my skills a lot. At “Arsenal XXII”, were I was working as a personal assistant to the owner, I managed a team of 56 people, after becoming a manager, I began to observe the behavior of the staff during work and looked for their strengths in each one that we could use in the service, thus not forcing everyone to work in the same way, but choosing an individual approach.
My main priority was always based on team spirit, safety and sustainability of the team. I was making sure that everyone knows its responsibilities and when they need to make changes to improve, all the while keeping good and familiar work experience in mind.
Every project so far then was executed on time and revenue management and on budget, and we could clearly see when we had succeeded and where we needed to improve. I loved that responsibility and would appreciate it if I would have a chance to improve more in finding myself in your company.
I am looking for a full time job, but I’m flexible and can also work less, as is needed from you.
