We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to be assigned to a Future Environment Establishment Project and you will also work across the Cloud Services stream as required. This role is responsible for leading security architecture and assurance activities within a federal government cloud environment. It ensures secure-by-design principles are embedded, aligns solutions and controls to applicable government security frameworks and compliance requirements, with security process oversight and guidance across cloud migration and transformation initiatives to support security accreditation and ongoing operational assurance.
Design and implement secure cloud architectures aligned to government security frameworks and policies
Lead security design and assurance activities for cloud migration and transformation activities
Develop and maintain cloud security patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures.
Implement and manage cloud-native security controls (IAM, encryptions, logging, monitoring, alerting and network security)
Support accreditation and Authority-to-Operate (ATO) processes
Embed secure-by-design principals across the Future Environment Establishment Project
Conduct security reviews of solution designs, architecture artefacts, and deployment pipelines
Work closely with Cloud Network, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to uplift security posture.
The Must Haves: Demonstrated experience working within major ICT Modernisation projects or programs in a federal government setting, including experience with Cloud migration/transformation projects.
