Junior Data Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and pipelines. This role focuses on building reliable data systems that enable efficient data collection, transformation, and storage for analytics and business intelligence purposes. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in data engineering, problem-solving, and working with large datasets in a structured and scalable environment.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the design and implementation of data pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality and consistency.

The Junior Data

Engineer will work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and support reporting and analytics needs. The role also involves monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance to ensure efficient data processing. A proactive approach is important to continuously improve data systems and workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic understanding of data structures, databases, and ETL processes. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python or Java.

Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing concepts is preferred. Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data tools is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving data engineering practices.
