Multiple Roles - Network Engineer/ Devops Engineer/ Linux Engineer

Shield Recruitment is currently supporting multiple infrastructure roles in Adelaideto work across high-profile Defence projects.

We are hiringNetwork Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Linux Engineerswith strong experience across infrastructure, cloud, and system support.

You will be working on modern platforms, supporting both project delivery and BAU operations.

The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in networking, Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies, along with the ability to work in secure environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Essential Requirements: NV1 or NV2 security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN and data centre networks

Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning

Implement network security controls and hardening aligned with best practices

Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity planning

Support network upgrades, patching, and change management activities

Conduct testing, validation, and documentation (HLD/LLD)

Work closely with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform/Bicep

Automate build, test, and deployment processes across environments

Manage and support cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)

Work with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability

Troubleshoot build, deployment, and production issues

Collaborate with development teams to improve release cycles and code quality

Implement security best practices across pipelines and environments

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL/Unix environments)

Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning

Troubleshoot OS-level, application, and infrastructure issues

Manage patching, upgrades, and security compliance

Implement and maintain system hardening and access controls

Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash/Python)

Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes

Work closely with network, DevOps, and cloud teams

Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
