WSN is seeking skilled Mid-Level Developers with expertise in Python, AWS, and Financial Services to place in a long-term consulting role with our client, a top financial services firm with an office in Melbourne. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain scalable financial applications, optimize cloud-based solutions, and contribute to the success of cutting-edge projects in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications in financial services.
- Work with AWS cloud services to deploy, manage, and optimize solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure best practices in software development, including testing, CI/CD, and security.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to enhance performance and scalability.
- Work effectively within a hybrid work environment, contributing both remotely and on-site.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Experience working in financial services, with an understanding of industry-specific requirements and challenges.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
