Software Engineer - Elixir/Clojure

Job Description

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to join our small team and help develop and grow our products. The successful candidate cares deeply about the product and the people impacted by it.

As someone who keeps up with the latest tools and technologies, you will employ your engineering skills to shape our products and continuously improve them by designing and implementing modular, reusable, and testable applications as part of a scrum team.

Your key responsibilities include

• Liaising with our business stakeholders to turn requirements into useful features
• Communicating clearly on technical issues and solutions
• Writing and contributing to technical documentation
• Developing and maintaining new and existing features
• Performing code reviews via Pull Requests on Github

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years experience in web development, including RESTful web services
• A passion for learning new technologies and writing great, maintainable code
• Some Functional Programming background/interest
• Experience in or desire to learn Elixir/Clojure
• React.js
• Automated testing - including unit, integration, and acceptance tests
• Experience working with Agile methodologies in a CI/CD environment

The following skills are optional but highly desirable:

• AWS - including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and RDS
• PHP, including frameworks such as Laravel
• Proven experience in data encryption at rest and key management solutions
• Hands-on GraphQL experience
