Alex Galea

I'm Alex Galea, a Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Practice Principal at Physiotherapy Centre Bendigo. After completing my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University in 2010, I returned to Bendigo to start my career. I became the sole director of the clinic in 2020.

I specialize in Sports Physiotherapy, Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates, Hydrotherapy, and Chronic Pain, with experience working with various sports teams from community to elite levels. I also contribute to Bendigo South East College’s Athlete Development Program, helping students prevent and manage injuries.

With my own experience in sports and rehabilitation, including knee and shoulder surgeries, I’m passionate about guiding others through their recovery. Outside of work, I enjoy running, spending time with my family, playing the guitar, and supporting the Melbourne Football Club

Having experienced knee and shoulder surgeries myself, I bring a personal understanding of rehabilitation to my practice, helping others recover and stay active.

I completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University in 2010. Since then, I have pursued extensive postgraduate education in Sports Physiotherapy, Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates, Hydrotherapy, and Chronic Pain to further specialize in musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.
