Work Experience - Senior Lecturer Support - Newman University - Birmingham

I have undertaken 6 weeks work experience with a senior lecturer in Early Childhood supporting first and second year students across a range of early childhood modules. Throughout this time, I have supported a group of students with their assignments through providing feedback and proofreading. Additionally, I have taken the lead and led aspects of the sessions independently.

This enabled me to gain an insight into higher education and the potential career path of lecturing. Further to this, this opportunity allowed me to reflect on my own learning and teaching styles as well as putting theory from what I have learnt from my BA and MA degree to practise.
