My current role is as Practice & Facility Manager in a women’s day surgery clinic, a position I have held for the past 10 years. This is a multi-faceted role, where I manage team performance, streamline workflows and resolve complex client concerns with empathy and professionalism. I collaborate closely with duty surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and other staff to ensure the smooth operation of daily surgeries.
The facility manager role entails; organising internal & external building maintenance, maintenance of a large carpark and garden upkeep; this often sees me employing and liaising with appropriate trades people.
