Systems Performance Advice requires a wide-ranging knowledge of the machinery of Government, understanding the priorities of your Minister, and maintaining a respectful relationship with Crown Entities and Non-Government Organisation in the role of Critical Friend.
- Briefing Ministers, the Chief Executives, and the Deputy Chief Executive, both formally (written) and informally (kanohi ki kanohi).
- Crown Entity performance reporting, lead relationship holder with Sport New Zealand, Drug Free Sport New Zealand, and the Integrity Transition Programme, and assisting in establishing the Sport Integrity Commission.
- Non-government organization (NGO) performance reporting, leading the Ministry's relationship with Antarctic Heritage Trust, Royal New Zealand Ballet, the New Zealand Music Commission, and Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision.
- Creating the framework for managing relationships and agreements with NGOs. Providing systems guidance and advice on processes and developing reporting tools for the accountability cycle (quarterly and annual reports).
- Planning workflow outputs, timing how to get the most out of the accountability cycle, and accounting for peer reviews and colleagues' workflows as part of that process.
- Project/programme management as needed. Providing ad hoc analysis when the capacity of the performance team is limited, and the ebb and flow of demand across the team requires analytical skills to provide advice at short notice.

As a Court Registry Officer, I was responsible for the successful operation of the criminal and family courts. Each day is different, and you are required to think on your feet and be comfortable organising competing workload priorities. Communication is the keystone to working effectively as a Court Registry Officer, as you are required to communicate confidently with Judges within the courtroom and their chambers, members of the wider judiciary, and participants of the judicial process.
- Case Management & Judicial Coordination: Delivered high-quality case management across Criminal, Family, Civil, and Tenancy jurisdictions, ensuring timely progression and coordination of complex cases. Whakaako Tākaro - Sports Coaching at Various Football Clubs (Wellington Phoenix, Team Wellington Football Club, Miramar Rangers, Wellington Olympic, Wellington United, Petone Football Club) (2013-01 – Present)
In addition to the roles above I have also worked concurrently as a sports coach. Primarily as a strength and conditioning coach in football, but more recently that has extended into tactical coaching and video analysis. However the areas I have excelled in have been mentoring young players to get the most out of their sport. Building healthy and constructive relationships between players and their sport. There are many way in which the skills from the sports world transfer to the workplace.
