A good day for me is 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 on the people around me. When I focus on being present in the moment, I'm able to place more value on the person I'm with or the task I'm working on. If it results in people smiling, having fun and the work adds to something larger than the sum of its parts, that is rewarding to me.

You might be asking yourself, how does that apply to data? When I came across data analytics, I was amazed there is an industry based on a concept I apply in my daily life. To name a few:

• When I go grocery shopping, I compare nutrition information
• I have been tracking my fuel and km consumption since 2018
• As a drafter, I researched the specifications to inform the design
• To define Michael Jordan as the GOAT, I read through basketball metrics

I realised a skill that I have always had, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬. Earlier I mentioned how I like to maximise my time with people. To be in data analytics would maximise who I am as a person. The quality of work I put in as a data analyst or scientist would reflect the personal alignment I have with it.

• Provided training to 5 batches of new employees across different production lines to ensure proper understanding of processes and procedures.
