In my role as Human Factors Coordinator at Yarra Trams, I help the organisation manage complex Human Factors issues and improve safety across the network. I work with teams across operations, investigations and projects to apply Human Factors principles and make sure our systems and processes meet both operational and regulatory requirements. I also lead the development of key programs and procedures, including our Fatigue Management Program, and I track performance trends to provide clear insights to senior leaders.
I collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Human Factors considerations are understood and built into decision-making. I also lead our Human Factors community of practice, where I support, mentor and build capability across the organisation.
I’m early in my professional career, currently working as a Human Factors Coordinator at Yarra Trams where I support safety, risk and operational decision-making across the network. Before entering the safety and human factors space, I worked as a creative strategist for a small Melbourne business, where I developed strong skills in problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement. I also gained experience in high‑pressure, multidisciplinary environments through University of Melbourne case competitions affiliated with the UN.
These opportunities helped me build analytical capability, structured thinking and the ability to translate complex ideas into practical solutions. My career so far reflects a mix of creativity, systems thinking and a strong focus on understanding people within complex environments.
