15 years as a Registered Nurse, returning to work after having children.
4 years Venipuncture experience on research projects.
5 years Hospital nurse in acute med/surg including in charge of shifts in Sydney, Perth and Parks NSW.
6 years Community Nurse with own district and case load. The majority of clients over 70 years old with ulcer management being the main focus but also management of IDC's, diabetes and liason with allied health. Writing Nursing Care Plans & participation in committees SSWAHS, Manly and London.
4 years Research Case/Control recruitment. This included gaining informed consent, interviewing participants, presenting research to groups. Field work risk assessment, writing procedures and protocols and job descriptions. Sourcing and ordering supplies, data entry, venipuncture and aliquoting in a PC2 Lab. Also sourcing the appropriate clinicians in 3 major teaching hospitals in London to assist with cancer clients and gathering of histopathology reports.
