Warehouse Manager responsible for overview of entire warehouse operations from inbound, production, HR, outbound. Primary focus on inventory management responsibilities.
- Organizing, planning and coordinating all inventory management activities
- Ensure that both goods inward and distribution departments are well organized and adequately resourced to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business
- Ensure incoming product is processed and managed appropriately according to company procedure
- Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required
- Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up production for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received
- Ensure sub-contract processes are received back and that suppliers are chased if late
- Ensure that finished product is well packaged, labelled and delivered according to the agreed delivery date
- Ensuring that all manufacturing and inventory systems / processes run efficiently and effectively
- Managing the Inventory function / stock control department to ensure product is receipted, located, stored and transferred correctly and that the company's stock inventory is accurate
- Ensuring that jobs are manufactured correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to customer build specification and quality requirements
- Communicating with all the relevant people / departments and coordinating all relevant in outs (people, plant and processes) to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved
- Planning, scheduling and reviewing workload to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved cost effectively
- Carry out regular Stock – Takes and Cycle Counts as control for Inventory Management
- Develop the company's inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital
- Managing and maintain the company's material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
- Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant products to maximise availability of working capital

- Provide routine management information on inventory performance
- Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimise costs and maximize working capital
- Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes
- Perform cycle stock checks
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
- Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved

Warehouse Manager handling invoicing, customer management, logistics coordination, and warehouse operations. Responsible for material handling, storage, dispatching, and fleet management.
- Invoicing and emailing of all Tax Invoices to customers
- Generating of Commercial Invoices for clearing of trucks delivering over the SA border
- Generating of Pro Forma Invoices for CIA (Customer in Advance) Customers for Pre-payment
- Following up with clearing agents for clearing documents sent the day before to avoid standing time (Also ensuring all info is cleared correctly.)
- Updating of customer debtor accounts for all new orders placed, invoiced and outstanding- due for payment
- Procurement of stock at various suppliers
- Generating of orders on portal for all CIA customers/ Our own trucks and updating all the necessary spread sheets
- Updating and distribution of customer upliftment schedules
- Updating of stock
- Advising staff of what POD's to follow up on for invoicing, 12-24 hours after delivery
- Logistics management- Constantly liaising with transporters for updates on trucks to ensure smooth delivery and no delays/ hiccups to customers/ clients
- Customer Updates- informing customers/ clients the whereabouts of their deliveries
- Customer Service/Queries- Ensuring all customers are assisted in a professional manner and ensuring they receive great service at all times
- Weekly cross-cast checks for all debtor accounts to ensure their accounts are all up to date
- Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends
- Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
- Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment
- Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes
- To ensure the plant and equipment is implemented and maintained in accordance with Engineering Standards, local and statutory legislation, ISO Systems and Health and Safety legislation
