About

Care coordinator and disability services leader with experience across in-home, residential, respite and community services in the UK. I began as a carer, worked as a Care Coordinator in in-home care, then progressed from support worker to Service Manager. I coordinate service delivery and rosters, take referrals and assess prospective participants, write and review support plans and positive behaviour support plans, and act as the main contact for families and health professionals.

I currently manage two services for adults with autism and intellectual disability, supporting 50 people. I am a CQC Registered Manager and the Safeguarding Lead for both services, and under my management the service passed local government contract monitoring and quality check visits in summer 2026. I also reduced agency staff use from 30% to 1% within my first 12 months as manager.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care and a Bachelor of Science in General Nursing Sciences, and I am seeking a Care Coordinator role in disability or community care. Ready to relocate to Australia as soon as possible | Open to employer sponsorship (subclass 482 or DAMA)

Experience

Service Manager and Registered Manager (CQC) at EnhanceAble Space and Living (2025-07 – Present)

UK registered charity providing disability support across Kingston, Richmond and Surrey. Regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the UK counterpart to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

  • Lead the day-to-day running of two services for adults with autism and intellectual disability: a 4-bed short-term respite house (NDIS equivalent: Short Term Respite, formerly STA) and a community outreach service providing in-home and community support.
  • Registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as Registered Manager in 2026, the person legally accountable for the service meeting regulatory standards.
  • Safeguarding Lead for both services, making sure safeguarding concerns are reported and escalated promptly.
  • Under my management, the service passed contract monitoring and quality check visits in summer 2026 by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, the local government authority that funds and monitors care services alongside the national regulator.
  • Reduced agency staff use from 30% to 1% within 12 months of becoming manager, cutting agency bookings from about 8 shifts a month to 1 every 2 months, improving continuity of support and reducing costs.
  • The services received around 30 compliments over 18 months, which I share with the team and use alongside complaints to improve support.
  • Increased staff supervision completion from 55% to about 93%, and lead appraisals, performance and absence management, and training compliance.
  • Manage 29 staff through two team leaders and four senior support workers, with the services supporting 50 people.
  • Take referrals and assess prospective participants before they start with our services.
  • Oversee person-centred support planning, safeguarding and risk management for participants with complex needs.
  • Write and audit positive behaviour support plans, including for new intakes and referrals.
  • Build and manage rosters around each person's support needs, staff availability and training, and arrange cover for short-notice gaps.
  • Run the on-call rota for both services and coordinate support across evenings and weekends, including transport.
  • Main point of contact for families, health professionals and external stakeholders; hold regular reviews and multidisciplinary case discussions around each person.
  • Lead internal audits, quality assurance and inspection readiness, including CQC Provider Information Return (PIR) responses, and use compliments and complaints to drive improvement.
  • Led improvements to staff escalation, incident reporting and daily notes across both services.
  • Oversee safe medication management systems and records.
  • Hold budget responsibility for my service and act as senior decision-maker when senior leadership is absent.
  • Produce monitoring and KPI reports for the CEO and budget reports for senior managers, and contribute to the annual service review and strategy plan.
  • Provide hands-on support when needed, including in people's own homes, and model good practice for the team.
