It has so far raised $6.5 million USD of international funding from global venture capitalists in Singapore and America, the highest for a Bangladeshi seed-stage startup and the highest in education technology for the country. They aim to build a holistic learning ecosystem for a digitally enabled Bangladeshi student population, across primary, secondary, and tertiary education.

About the Role

This Android Developer (Sr. Software Engineer) will be integral in creating and maintaining high-quality mobile applications, enhancing user experiences, and ensuring the seamless functionality of our platform. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Android development technologies, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, and exhibit enthusiasm for actively contributing to the achievements of the leading startup within the EdTech sector of Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable, performant Android features used by hundreds of thousands of learners.
• Responsible for Android app architecture, modularization, build pipeline, and the Play Store release process.
• Managing end-to-end feature delivery for assigned modules on a quarterly basis.
• Writing production-grade Kotlin with comprehensive unit and instrumented test coverage.

• Translating product requirements into robust technical designs.
• Representing the Android platform in cross-platform API design and collaboration with the Backend team.
• Own app quality metrics including startup time, rendering performance, crash-free users, and ANR rate.
• Work in an AI-native engineering environment using agentic IDEs and coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
• Leveraging AI assistance to generate unit tests, edge cases, migration scripts, and perform efficient debugging.
• Utilizing AI tools to draft PR descriptions, RFCs, and engineering documentation.
• Contributing to AI context engineering (prompts, agent skills, context files) and workflow optimization for cost-effective AI use.
• Participating in code reviews and training junior engineers within the team on the team's AI workflows and sharing effective prompts.
• Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers.
• Ensuring you work to strict deadlines and maintain proper sprint planning guidelines.
• Working as a team member and offering to help out as and when necessary, in other tasks pertaining to the development of the technology solution.
• Will be involved from conception to completion with projects that are technologically sound and aesthetically impressive.

Skills & Qualifications

• 4 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with a core focus on the Android ecosystem.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and delivering high-volume, low-latency features in a professional setting.
• Deep understanding of Android app architecture, modularization strategies, build pipelines, and Play Store delivery.
• Strong proficiency in the specified tech stack: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, Hilt, Retrofit, Room, Firebase, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience writing comprehensive test coverages, including unit and instrumented tests.
• Demonstrable adaptability to an AI-native workflow, with familiarity in utilizing agentic IDEs (Cursor/Claude Code), context engineering, and AI prompt optimization.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a metrics-driven approach to tracking application health (ANRs, crashes).
• Strong collaborative skills to translate product specs into designs and represent mobile architectures during cross-platform API discussions.

Employment Structure

• Onsite in Dhaka | Full-time
• Salary: BDT 120,000 - 170,000
