MSc Thesis Researcher — Genomics & AMR at BRAC University (2024-01 – Present)

Conducting whole-genome sequencing and comparative genomic analysis of hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae clinical isolates from Bangladesh.

• Conducting whole-genome sequencing (WGS) and comparative genomic analysis of hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (hvKp) clinical isolates from Bangladesh.
• Performing multi-locus sequence typing (MLST), virulence gene profiling via Kleborate, and phylogenetic tree construction and visualisation using R (ape, phangorn, ggtree).
• Investigating AMR–virulence co-carriage in hvKp strains; benchmarking Bangladeshi lineages against global datasets using BLAST and sequence alignment tools.
• Findings contribute to mapping AMR–virulence convergence in high-risk Klebsiella pneumoniae lineages across South Asia.

A nationally recognised cultural activist and guardian of Manipuri heritage — one of Bangladesh's most distinguished exponents of Manipuri Pung (drum) and classical dance. Trained from age 12 under certified Gurus, with advanced study across Bangladesh and India, Arnob has represented Bangladeshi culture on prestigious national and international stages for over a decade.

• Trained under certified Gurus in Pung Taal and Cholom; pursued advanced study in Agartala, Silchar, and Manipur, India.
