Hello! I’m Most. Sonia Islam, a passionate Deep Learning and AI enthusiast, currently pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). My interests lie in leveraging AI for impactful solutions, with a focus on software development, research, and innovation.
Currently, I am actively involved in projects that integrate cutting-edge AI technologies, including:
✅ Virtual Try-On (VTON) – Enhancing online shopping experiences through AI-driven clothing simulations.
✅ SDG for Youth– A NASA Space Apps Challenge project aimed at educating high school students about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using interactive game-like elements, quizzes, and real-time data from NASA.
I am always eager to collaborate on research and development projects that push the boundaries of AI and deep learning. Additionally, I enjoy competitive programming and problem-solving on platforms like Codeforces, , and Code chef. Also published symposium magazine paper.
Worked in NITC as a room volunteer and technical support team and in ICPC Asia Region as a volunteer, event planning and assistant|| Competitive programmer at codeforces, codechef, Vjudge, toph.co, beecrowd, LightOJ and also intra university contest in BUBT|| still working as a general member in IT club.
Also I've three conference and one journal publications.
Conducted applied research in deep learning with emphasis on medical image analysis, including brain MRI-based disease classification. Designed and evaluated convolutional and hybrid architectures (CNN, CNN-LSTM, DenseNet, Transformer-based models) with attention to experimental rigor, cross-validation, and performance benchmarking. Contributed to research writing, result interpretation, and preparation of technical manuscripts suitable for academic dissemination.
Served as Content Coordinator, overseeing the creation and technical accuracy of research-oriented and educational content. Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to organize technical events, seminars, and workshops related to AI, systems engineering, and emerging technologies. Demonstrated coordination skills bridging technical depth with clear scientific communication.
Developed and evaluated machine learning and deep learning pipelines for computer vision tasks, including handwritten character recognition and virtual try-on systems. Applied transfer learning, data augmentation, and controlled experimental setups to ensure reproducibility and fair model comparison. Utilized Python, TensorFlow/Keras, and related scientific libraries for end-to-end model development and evaluation.
Worked in a collaborative research and development team to design an educational web application integrating real-time data and interactive AI-driven components. Focused on system design, data-driven decision logic, and usability aligned with educational objectives.
I've completed my BSc Engg in CSE from Bangladesh University of Business & Technology with CGPA 3.98
