Dr.
Zaman is an Associate Professor of Jagannath University in Dhaka , Bangladesh.She obtained her undergraduate (2004) and post graduate degree ( 2005) in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.Tabassum pursued another post graduate degree on Public Policy and Governance from the North South University ,Bangladesh.She received her Ph.D in Public Administration from Tribhuvan University at Kathmandu, Nepal in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Dr.
Shrestha of Tribhuvan University and Dr. Salahuddin M. Aminuzzaman of University of Dhaka.She started her career as a lecturer in Economics of Jagannath University, in 2008 and was promoted to an Associate Professor in 2018.
Her Ph.D work was published in 2021 as a chapter in the book named 'Policy Response, Local Service Delivery, and Governance in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka', Published by Palgrave Macmillan.Tabassum continued her record of excellent research works as an independent researcher.She has published twelve (12) research works in recognized journals as academic articles. Moreover, she worked on two(02) Jagannath University funded research projects. Top of that she worked as assistant editor and reviewer, proofreader for recognized local and international journals.
Tabassum proved her as an enable mentor and genuine classroom teacher. She guided graduate and undergraduate students in publishing their research in Tabloid and recognized journals.
Produce outcome based curriculum , conduct research ,attend seminar and conferences,teaching a required number of classes, guiding graduate and post graduate students, participating department meetings and providing academic and technical support to the professors and tackling administrative tasks.
Economics basics with a focus on public policy and governance provided the scholar a distinct exposure to the problem solving of the existing research field.Since the countries of South Asia specifically Bangladesh suffers from economic governance a combined expertise in economics and public administration opened a new window for the researchers to solve the problems strategically and efficiently.In this vein the scholar is having an exposure to both economics and governance domain of the region.
