As a Data Analyst in Business Controlling, you extract actionable insights from financial and operational data to support decision‐making, optimize performance, and drive digital transformation. You leverage advanced analytics, Python, AI/ML, and automation to analyze large datasets, improve forecast reliability and anomaly detection, while continuously experimenting, testing hypotheses, and refining analytical models to innovate the controlling function.Collect, clean, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple internal sources (ERP, SAP, reporting systems, Excel).Develop automated dashboards, visualizations, and advanced analytics using Power BI, Python, VS code, and low‐code tools.Build and maintain predictive and analytical models (forecasting, anomaly detection, scenario analysis) to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions.Integrate AI and machine‐learning capabilities into controlling and reporting processes, in collaboration with business and IT teams.Design and maintain automated data pipelines in Python (data transformation, ETL, data quality checks) to reduce manual effort.Deliver ad‐hoc analyses and business cases, translating results into clear insights and recommendations.Document solutions and support self‐service analytics through training and knowledge sharing.Collaborate with finance, IT, and data engineering to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.Advanced Python proficiency for data analysis, modelling, and automation (pandas, NumPy, scikit‐learn).Strong knowledge of statistics and AI/ML techniques applied to business use cases (highly valued).Solid understanding of finance and controlling processes, KPIs, and reporting needs.Ability to work autonomously on complex, unstructured datasets, from data exploration to model design and business interpretation.
